A Web-Based Attendance Monitoring System Utilizing QR (Quick Response) Code Technology

Attendance monitoring systems are vital for various industries, including corporate and education settings, in today's inevitable digital world. Father Urios Academy of Magallanes, Incorporated (FUAMI) suffered from discrepancies and inefficiencies in the manual attendance for the teachers. This research study, a Web-based QR (Quick Response) Code Monitoring System, aims to automate and refine the attendance tracking process of teachers in FUAMI and measure its functionality, efficiency, and user satisfaction. The System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) waterfall model has several stages, from planning, designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining. In the design and development phases, coding system requirements such as Visual Studio Code(VSCode), HTML5, Bootstrap 5, JavaScript, and jQuery for the frontend and PHP alongside Laravel Framework for the backend have been vital in the fulfillment of the entire project. The system elevates the FUAMI attendance monitoring into an organized, efficient, and reliable data storage and retrieval system. The system achieved a high level of acceptance among end-users, with a mean rating of 4.82.
