Design and Fabrication of Two-wheeler EV Charger by Using SMPS Technology for Industrial Applications

In this research a Two-Wheeler EV battery charger fabrication part is proposed. Power transfer from grid to battery is achieved by crossing through two steps of conversion first one is AC/DC stage and then DC/DC stage, then output of the charger is linked to Two-Wheeler EV Li-ion battery. Two-Wheeler users in there parking condition they only need to plug in that charger into the socket and the charging will start. This charger can be used anywhere in their office premises or at home. In this paper, we have taken the On-board charger. The AC/DC conversion is taken place by using a rectification and filtration (filter is done by using a capacitor) process. Then using a DC-DC isolated converter is used for getting our required/desired DC value i.e., 58.4 V. Then this O/P voltage is sent to the rechargeable battery (Liion) of Two-Wheeler for charging. There is also an additional circuit connected known as the feedback path, which compares the output voltage of the charger with the desired voltage and gives the feedback about it.
