Simulation Research on Marine Diesel-Electric Hybrid Propulsion System Based on MWorks

[Objective] In recent years, scholars have widely used Matlab/Simulink simulation and modeling software for the research of diesel-electric hybrid propulsion systems, while there is a lack of research using domestic software. In order to promote the localization of modeling and simulation software, a method of simulation research on diesel-electric hybrid propulsion systems is proposed by using the domestic simulation platform Modelica/Mworks. [Methods] Firstly, mathematical models for the marine diesel engine, gear box, and water jet pump are established. Then, simulation modeling is carried out based on MWORKS. Sysplorer, and the simulation data is obtained for analysis. [Results] After analysis, it was found that the static simulation error is basically controlled within 2%, and the dynamic simulation curves conform to the actual laws. [Conclusion] The diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system model meets the simulation error requirements. Moreover, Mworks simulation software is fast in model building, has a high simulation efficiency, and generates clear results, which is of great significance for promoting the localization of simulation modeling software.
