Prediction of cascading fault accident chain in wind power systems based on CRITIC combined weighting VIKOR model

As the penetration rate of wind power in the power system gradually increases, the difficulty of predicting the path of cascading faults increases. It is of great significance to accurately search for the development path of cascading faults in the power system. A method for predicting the path of cascading faults in wind power systems based on CRITIC combined weighting VIKOR model is proposed to address the difficulty of balancing the probability and consequences of cascading faults in existing research. Firstly, based on the probabilistic power flow model, uncertain factors such as wind power output fluctuations and load changes were described, which were used as the computational basis for predicting the chain of cascading failures and accidents; Then, based on the importance and operational status of the new energy power system line structure, a severity index for the chain of cascading fault accidents is proposed; Secondly, a dual layer multi-objective decision-making method based on CRITIC combined weighting VIKOR model was established to identify lower level chain fault lines, with fault probability and fault consequence severity as the upper and lower level objectives, respectively; Finally, simulation was conducted on the improved IEEE 39 node system with wind power, and the results showed that the proposed method can predict chain failures with high probability of occurrence and serious consequences, verifying the effectiveness of the proposed indicators and methods.
