Application of Machine Vision in Automatic Assembly System of Electrical Connector Sealing Plugs

In order to improve the efficiency and quality stability of the sealing plugs assembly of electrical connectors, machine vision technology was integrated into the automatic assembly system. The machine vision technology was used to identify the feature holes on the connector surface, extract the center of the surface, and calculate the placement angle. The image coordinates and absolute coordinates were associated through the pixel equivalent mapping relationship, and the extracted center of the surface circle was used as the rotation center, and the absolute coordinates were calculated through the coordinate rotation transformation. Finally, the sealing plugs were transported, pinched and assembled. Compared with manual operation, the efficiency of this method was increased by 118.92%, the algorithm recognition was stable, and the accuracy rate was 99.5%.
