Research on Improved Distribution Electromagnetic Soft Interconnection Device

As people's demand for electricity increases day by day, the safe operation of the distribution network is more and more emphasized. The problem of unbalanced load on distribution network lines is becoming more and more serious, and thus AC distribution networks need an effective flexible interconnection scheme to rationally regulate the line power flow. So, an improved distribution electromagnetic soft interconnection device (IDESID) based on electronic switches is proposed to realize fast and effective regulation of modern distribution network power flow. In this paper, the topology and operating characteristics of IDESID are investigated in detail. IDESID increases the line series inductance and changes the mechanical on-load voltage regulator switch structure into an electronic switch structure containing multiple coupled inductors. By controlling the on off of the IDESID electronic switch, the amplitude and phase angle of the compensating voltage injected into the line can be controlled, so as to achieve the purpose of regulating the line power flow, and its voltage and current regulation range are quadrilateral. The article proposes a new electronic switch control strategy, which can reduce the number of IDESID casting and cutting, reduce the regulation time, and also inhibit the switching inrush current. A model of IDESID applied to a simple distribution line is constructed in MATLAB/Simulink software, and the voltage and current regulation characteristics of IDESID are verified, the feasibility of the electronic switching strategy is verified, and the effectiveness of IDESID in equalizing the line load is verified.
