Smart Aquarium Monitoring System for Optimal Aquatic Life Management Using IoT

This research proposes a novel smart automatic fish tank and fish food finder which is controlled remotely through IoT technology and is able to send email alerts. The system does away with the interference of a person on a regular basis for cleaning the aquarium by means of the servo motor revolving on a movable base plate present at the bottom of the tank. This allows for the manipulation of the amount of water that flows in and out of certain areas depending on how the base plate is tilted. This movement is what adjusts the flow of water and eventually improves the conditions of the aquarium for the creatures living inside it. It employs an IoT feature using an ESP32 to send email alerts via IFTTT when some incidents occur, e.g. low water level or high temperature. The purpose of this study is through the integration of its components, greatly reduce the amount of work and mistakes made during the process of taking care of the aquarium allowing time and peace of mind to aquatic fans with prompt notification system.
