Revolutionising Antenna Engineering Education: Project-Based Learning for Industry Demands

This study examines the impact of project-based learning (PBL) strategies in an antenna engineering course, with an emphasis on fabrication and experimental validation. Additionally, the antennas taught in the course are in the D- band frequency range (110 GHz to 170 GHz), relevant for 6G communications. The shift to D-band frequencies, commonly used in industry, allowed students to directly link theoretical concepts with practical applications. Employing PBL methodologies, we assessed student engagement, interest, and comprehension. Feedback indicated increased confidence and enthusiasm in designing new antennas. This approach not only enhances understanding but also prepares students for industry challenges.
