Based on improved genetic algorithm for the assessment of vocational skill in ordnance equipment maintenance

Currently, the problem existed in the assessment of vocational skill in ordnance equipment maintenance, that is the difficulty of manual paper generation, the unscientific paper generation, and the untimely feedback of assessments. These problems are seriously affect the construction of equipment maintenance in the army. According to the improved genetic algorithm, 20 sets of test papers were paper generated, which are about senior skill assessment for infantry weapons repairmen. The verification is carried out from two aspects. Firstly, it is compared with random algorithm and simple genetic algorithm, the improved genetic algorithm in paper generation has a closer average difficulty to the expected value, a more comprehensive average knowledge point coverage, and a smaller average test question exposure rate. Secondly, the analysis and verification are carried out from the scores of assessment papers. The result is the difficulty of the exam is 0.66, the reliability is 0.863, and the validity is 0.762. The scores are in line with the actual situation of examinees, reliable results are obtained, and the quality of the exam paper is excellent. the improved genetic algorithm can provide support for talent selection of equipment maintenance in the army.
