Dynamic performance simulation of electric-hydraulic hybrid power drive unit for aircraft high lift system

The Power Drive Unit (PDU) is the core power unit in the high-lift systems of large aircraft. To meet the demands of aircraft electrification, it is necessary to transition from the traditional dual hydraulic channel PDU to an electro-hydraulic hybrid PDU. Currently, the A350 and A380 have adopted an Active/Active hybrid PDU, but an Active/Standby hybrid PDU primarily driven by an electric motor has not yet been applied. To explore its feasibility, this paper simulates the system through modelling and applies loads based on reference conditions to compare its dynamic performance with that of the Active/Active PDU.
