Issues of the Electromagnetic Compatibility between UMTS and IMT-MC Systems in the 2Ghz Band

This article consider the issues of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) between cellular networks working in the 2GHz band and using different third generation (3G) systems, such as UMTS/WCDMA and IMT-MC/CDMA200. The main direction of this issues solution is based on analysis of the international experiences on sharing between Land Mobile networks using different standards in the frequency band of 1920-1980/ 2110-2170 MHz and analysis of ITU and CEPT documents on using this bands by 3^rd generation Land Mobile networks, also considered here.
