Method of the Directed Expansion of Suppression in Adaptive Beam Forming at Spatial Processing in Survey Radar Station with Phased Array

Algorithms and systems of space-time processing play an important role in short-range radar. One of the features of such radars is the need to maintain the coherence of the pack for the successful operation of most algorithms for selecting moving targets. To ensure this condition, in terms of spatial processing, adaptive formation of dips in the antenna array beam form can be applied to suppress interference signals. In this article, a method is proposed to preserve the coherence of the bundle during the operation of the adaptive space signal processing algorithm, due to the formation of an extended dip to compensate for the movement of the antenna array as a result of mechanical movement. The proposed method is compared with the well-known approach of “freezing weight coefficients” and the effectiveness of the proposed method is determined using modeling.
