RFID-based Automatic Mask Dispensing System using IoT

The widespread use of masks is one of the most effective measures to mitigate the spread of infectious diseases and harmful airborne particles. This paper proposes an Automatic Mask Dispensing System designed to address common challenges, such as individuals forgetting to carry masks. The system leverages RFID scanning technology, widely adopted by international corporations, to automate mask dispensing while controlling access and preventing misuse. Equipped with RFID tags, sensors, and motors, the mask vending machine ensures convenient, on-the-go access to high-quality masks, catering to the fast-paced needs of modern life. A PHP-based web platform integrated with a database tracks essential parameters, including mask distribution counts, user locations, timestamps, and total quantities dispensed on specific dates. The collected data can be utilized for AI-driven predictive analytics and demand forecasting to optimize mask availability. This innovative solution ensures consistent mask access, contributing significantly to public health by reducing exposure to pollutants, allergens, and airborne diseases.
