Rapid Generation of Clutter Correlation Sequence Based on FFT

Clutter simulation is an important part of radar signal processing system. In this paper, the generation method of clutter correlation sequence in clutter simulation is analyzed, and it is concluded that the generation of clutter correlation sequence generally has the problem of high time complexity, which cannot be applied to real-time echo processing in radar signal processing system. In this paper, by ignoring the clutter signal outside the range of radar instrument, a rapid generation of clutter correlation sequence based on FFT is proposed. The simulation experiments of signal processing under typical radar parameters and geographical environment show that the proposed method can greatly reduce the time complexity of clutter correlation sequence generation and meet the real-time processing requirements of radar echoes. Compared with the Range-Doppler distribution of clutter correlation sequence generated by LLT decomposition auto-correlation matrix, the clutter correlation sequence generated by this method has a good fit.
