Investigation of the Influence of Manufacturing Accuracy of a Compact Coupler on its Characteristics

This work is aimed at studying the effect of manufacturing accuracy of a compact coupler on its frequency characteristics. Determination of the most vulnerable elements in the composition of the coupler. We also studied the influence of the thickness and permittivity of the substrate on the frequency characteristics of a compact coupler. It was found that with a decrease in the width of high-resistance lines, the inductance becomes larger and this leads to a shift in the operating frequency to the low-frequency region, with an increase in the width of high-resistance lines, the opposite occurs. As the substrate thickness decreases, the capacitance increases and the center frequency shifts downward, which can be observed with an increase in the permittivity of the substrate. The reverse picture is seen if the substrate thickness is increased or the submarine permittivity is decreased.
