Single-Band Modified Patch Antenna with Parasitic Slots for Optimal Performance at 39 GHz in Ka-Band Applications

This paper shows a study of microstrip modified rectangular patch antenna designed specifically for Ka-band n-260 range applications. This antenna operates at a frequency of 39 GHz, achieving a reflection coefficient of -27.76dB making it highly effective for 5G devices and mobile networks. The design features interconnected rectangular and polygon patches arranged in an eye-like pattern constructed with Rogers RT/Duroid 5880 substrate of thickness 0.254 mm. Operating over a wide frequency range, this antenna designed using HFSS software exhibits optimal resistance and reactance values demonstrating strong diversity performance making it ideal for 5G devices and applicable in satellite communications and wireless technologies. This paper analyzes several key parameters including s parameter, E and H-plane, 2-D radiation patterns, impedance, reflection coefficients and gain.
