Decision-Making Dynamics: Analyzing the Economic Influence of Sports Tourism on Bahrain's Growing Industry

Tourism in Bahrain will rise in 2022 and reach 10 million visitors, even forecasting that tourism can improve Bahrain's growing tourism industry. This study aimed to discover the Sports Tourist contribution to the Kingdom of Bahrain's economy by analyzing this sector's Capabilities and Opportunities. The methodology employed in this study was a quantitative method based on the analysis and standard estimation by building traditional models to measure the impact of tourism activity. This impact was represented by two variables: tourism revenues (TR) and the number of visitors (NV), and their effects on some variables of the Bahraini macro-economy. These variables were represented by Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Domestic consumption (DC), Domestic investment (DI), Domestic saving (DS), Exports (DX), and Imports (DM). The study utilized both linear and logarithmic functions to analyze the data for the period spanning from 1995 to 2020. The study also estimated the expected values and drew their course for the period between 2022 and 2027. Findings refer that sustainable tourism must include tourism planning, development, and management in heritage areas within protection or sustainable development strategies. Tourism should be planned and managed sustainably for economic uses optimal for the natural and human environment in the heritage area. Information and studies should be available on the nature of tourism and its impact on the population and the cultural environment before and during development for the local community so that it can participate and influence the overall development trends-practical recommendations introduced in this narrative.
