Research on Fault Monitoring and Early Warning System of Elevators Based on Internet of Things

With the acceleration of urbanization, the number of elevators continues to increase, and elevator safety issues are becoming increasingly prominent. In order to improve the safety and reliability of elevators, this paper proposes an elevator fault monitoring and early warning system based on the Internet of Things. The system utilizes IoT technology to monitor the real-time operation status of elevators and provide early warning for elevator malfunctions. The hardware part includes a microcontroller, sensors, buzzer alarm module, and display module. The system software is divided into local software, communication software, and monitoring software. The monitoring software is the top layer in the Internet of Things, providing a monitoring interface for fault monitoring personnel. Local software is the control program of the local controller, responsible for data collection, processing, storage, and uploading in case of faults. Communication software is responsible for the communication of information. The feasibility and effectiveness of the system were verified by analyzing the hardware design, software design, and testing results of the system.
