Optimization of Arm Structure Parameters Based on Vague Set

Finite element Simulation of the crane boom was carried out in Solid works Simulation software. The section shape, section (tangent circle) radius, thickness and upper and lower section ratio of the boom were selected as the structural parameters. Taking the maximum stress, maximum displacement, maximum strain and maximum safe load of the crane as the evaluation indexes of the jib's performance, an orthogonal experiment with four factors and three levels L9 (3⁴) was designed. The weight allocation of the evaluation indexes of the crane's performance was carried out by Vague Set, and the multi-objective optimization was carried out based on the vague set. The optimal combination of structural parameters of the jib and the sequence of influence of each structural parameter on the performance of the jib were determined. The results show that the optimal structure parameter combination is hexagon, cross-section (tangent circle) radius of 90cm, thickness of boom 4cm, upper and lower section ratio 0.8. When the optimal parameter combination load is 10t, the maximum stress of the boom is 47.4Mpa, the maximum displacement is 23.24mm, the maximum strain is 1.99e-4estrn, the maximum safe load of the boom is 125.8kN, and the comprehensive performance of the boom reaches the optimal level. The order of influence of various structural parameters on the performance of the crane is as follows: Section (tangent circle) radius > upper and lower section ratio of the boom > section shape of the boom > thickness of the boom.
