On the Crosstalk Reduction in Printed-Circuit Boards

The problem of crosstalk in printed-circuit boards is investigated. The possibility of simplificated prediction of crosstalk values is substantiated. Ways of an electromagnetic coupling reduction in printed-circuit boards are discussed. Characteristics of coupled suspended microstrip lines and coupled inverted miorostrip lines with various parameters of substrate and isolating layer between the substrate and the ground plane are calculated by variational method. It is shown, that by means of proper choice of the dielectrics parameters the crosstalk values in printed-circuit boards with such lines may be reduced considerably.
