New Protection System and Related Committee Regulation for Biological Safety Around Computers

Already 30 years have passed when the cathode-ray tubes was occupied the main position of display equipment for computer on behalf of the card leader and holing tape systems. During 30 years, many biological effects were discovered in this term, such as; (1) fall of eyesight of VDT operators (2) The suspicion of face skin cancer of VDT operators by the strong electrostatic charge of CRT tube. (3) Biological effects against the woman health by the ELF and VLF magnetic fields which generated by CRT and CPU equipments, and (4) Psychological problems of VDT operators by the effect of closed working environment. To protect from these three problems, we have established a new committee for protection in 1990. We explain the activities of this committee in this paper.
