When Time Interleaving Encounters Oversampling in ADC

Time-interleaved ADC architecture is widely used in high-speed applications because this structure can increase the speed of ADC linearly by adding the number of channels. On the other hand, the oversampling technique, especially the technique that combines oversampling and noise shaping, can significantly improve the accuracy of the ADC through a trade-off between speed and resolution. So, what kind of sparks will be produced when time interleaving meets oversampling? This paper will be based on the three works of our research group in recent years, combined with other excellent papers, and try to discuss how to combine the time-interleaved and oversampling to solve the mismatch between the channels of the time-interleaved ADC and break the speed bottleneck through the traditional sigma-delta modulators or noise-shaping SAR ADC.
