Application and Evaluation of Layered Security Measures in Military Electronic Payment Systems

This paper uses case study methodology to evaluate the security measures in military electronic payment systems at various levels such as basic, intermediate, advanced, and highest. At the basic level, the U.S. military's electronic procurement payment system uses the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) to focus on payment security and efficiency, ensuring a smooth procurement process. At the intermediate level, the British military's electronic payment system employs multi-factor authentication to effectively prevent data breaches and unauthorized access, ensuring data confidentiality and integrity. At the advanced level, the Israel Defense Forces employ advanced Intrusion Detection Systems and Intrusion Prevention Systems, along with strict logging and auditing mechanisms, to ensure system security and availability. At the highest level, Singapore's Ministry of Defense in Singapore uses independent secure networks and multi-layered physical security measures to prevent data leaks and unauthorized access effectively. Despite challenges such as technical complexity and high costs, these systems have significantly enhanced their defensive capabilities through continuous optimization and technological innovation. This study demonstrates that by comprehensively applying various security measures and innovations, military electronic payment systems can improve overall efficiency while ensuring security, thus providing strong protection for financial transactions within defense departments.
