A Weighted Consensus Measure for Group Decision-Making with Dichotomous Inputs

In this study, we present a weighted consensus measure which enables measuring the level of consensus in a group of decision makers when their votes regarding an initiative are taken into account with various weight values. Here, we assume that the votes are either ‘yes’ or ‘no’. We argue that the weighted case is closer to the real-life group decision-making situations and adapt seven reasonable requirements for a consensus measure to the case of weighted dichotomous inputs. Then we present a fuzzy entropy-based weighted consensus measure and prove that it satisfies the above-mentioned requirements. Numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the favourable properties of the proposed weighted consensus measure.
