Voltage and Frequency Mitigations for Solar PV-MiniMicro Hydel Power Plant in Hybrid Microgrid System

A large proportion of the world's sparsely populated and geographically isolated remote areas have lack of central grid connection. In order to facilitate these areas with proper uninterrupted power supply, microgrid is one of the possible solutions. Research works on microgrid system with renewable energy sources are getting importance nowadays. In this paper a review on how the intermittent nature of renewable energy sources is affecting the power quality is discussed. This paper tries to review different control strategies which are adopted to overcome these mitigations. Artificial Intelligence based techniques used for resolving these problems are also reviewed and analyzed to get better solution to this problem.
