Design of a Color Tunable Vertically Stacked QW LED with single Anode, double Cathode

The design of tunable light-emitting diode using SILVACO TCAD simulator has been realized, where a phosphor-free LED is obtained, and to obtain an independent control of color. The LED has a violet-green color tunable monolithic structure with three operation modes: green, violet, or mixture, and the creation of white light at a precise mixture ratio. Furthermore, the device ensures uniform carrier spreading in the active layers, making it suitable for high-performance display applications. Its phosphor-free structure, this makes it promising for various solid-state lighting applications. The study will delve into the electrical characteristics and the optical properties of the LED structure.
