On the Selection of Magnetic-Field for Ferrite Loaded Junction in Microwave Devices

A theoretical investigation carried out on the selection of magnetic for a ferrite loaded junction using in microwave devices is reported. An equation has been developed which relates d.c. biasing magnetic field and the frequency of operation ivolving other design variables such as saturation magnetisation, permeability and gyromagnetic ratio. Selection of magnetic field through this relation reduces the mismatching between the line and the ferrite loaded junction. Design curves are also presented for several ferrites.
