PCB Level Wireless Wide Area Networking Approach for Netbook Applications

The solutions proposed in this paper are useful in the detection of Wireless Wide Area Networking (WWAN) interference in netbook applications, as they facilitated a reduction in EMI level of 5-9 dB in WWAN frequency bands. In addition, analysis of all noise sources from LED driver IC, T-con, source IC, and scan driver pulses may be helpful in solving the WWAN EMI interference problem of TFT-LCD modules within various netbook systems. The proposed solution was tested on the 10.1” netbook module, which is the main stream component of netbook. The resolution is 1024 x 600 pixels, the gate turn-on voltage is 20.1 V, and the turn-off voltage is -13 V.
