Flexible Digital Coding Tunable Bandpass Filter Integrated With Flexible Zinc-Ion Batteries

The flexible digital coding tunable bandpass filters (BPFs) are designed in this work, tuned by organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) and integrated with flexible zinc-ion batteries (FZIBs). OECTs are applied as radio frequency (RF) switches in this system. Meanwhile, FZIBs are integrated in this system to provide a stable switching voltage for OECTs. The electrical properties and RF performance of OECTs switches are deeply investigated. The 3.92–7.15-GHz digital coding multistate tunable BPF is designed and fabricated to verify the tunable performance. Flatness, bending state, and cyclic performance are tested to verify the stability of the tuning strategy. All the above results indicate that the designed digital coding multistate tunable BPFs, without high external drive voltages, can be widely used in the fields of 5G, 6G, artificial intelligence Internet of Things (AIoTs), and wearable systems.
