Intelligent Emergency Braking System for Bicycle

This paper introduces an innovative emergency braking system designed to enhance the safety of children on bicycles. The system allows remote braking control by an adult, reducing the risk of accidents and promoting safer rides. The system consists of a transmitter and a receiver, utilizing two Arduino Nano boards and two NRF24L01+ wireless modules. The novelty of this project lies in the real-time control of braking, using a joystick to send braking commands, which are transmitted wirelessly to the receiver. The receiver then activates a servomotor connected to the bicycle’s braking system. This remote control provides parents with the ability to intervene immediately in emergency situations, thus contributing to the child’s safety. Furthermore, the system’s compact design, powered by LiPo batteries, ensures portability and reliability in comparison to traditional braking systems.
