Study of the Transfer Impedance and Shielding Effectiveness of Cable Trays for Industrial Wires

The paper proposed a numerical modelling method and outlines experimental results for evaluation of the transfer impedance of the cable trays. In the first part of the paper the analytical method using thin wires and the multi-conductor transmission line theory is outlined. In the second part of the paper the results using two experimental measurement benches are presented. In the first case the method using injection current is presented while in the second case results using a TEM cell are outlined. Comparisons and the final conclusions will end the paper.
