Designing a Laboratory Bench for Measuring Torque

This material presents the design of a bench for measuring torque on a laboratory experimental set-up. The bench makes accurate, repeatable measurements of couplings, springs and shafts to visualize forces and moments. A measuring instrument M-100 was selected, which is designed to adjust the torque of pneumatic and electric screwdrivers with automatic braking, also serves to test tools such as torque wrenches, to measure the torque of rotating parts, as well as to systematize of extensive production processes. For forces in the range 0.3-11.3Nm and purity up to 600Hz. The experimental setup created measures a shaft up to 0.75 m and with a fastening diameter of up to 16mm. Tests performed show agreement between measured and calculated values under static load. In dynamic measurement, a decrease in torque was recorded when the rotation speed increased. The proposed torque stand provides an opportunity to visualize the theoretical material.
