Determination of Greenhouse Gases Emitted by Machine-Tractor Unit by Fuel Consumption

Any industrial activity carried out by humans is associated with the release of a certain amount of greenhouse gases. These industrial activities during the different stages of the industrial revolution led to an increase in the amount of these greenhouse gases. As a result of the beginning of this revolution until now, the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere has increased by more than 150%. The increase in the concentration of greenhouse gases as a result of human activity leads to an increase in the average global temperature and to a change in the energy balance of air conditioning systems. Like any human activity, the production of plant products is related to the emission of greenhouse gases. It is mainly expressed in the consumed fuel and in the spills of fuel and lubricants during various technological operations in the cultivation of plants. This article will attempt to determine the amount of greenhouse gases emitted by the tractor when performing various technological operations per unit area. During the experiment, the technological operations of sowing, spraying and fertilizing wheat crops were investigated. The generated greenhouse gases are calculated on the basis of fuel consumed by the tractor during the performance of technological operations. Greenhouse gases have been determined and compared according to a standardized methodology for performing the main technological operations in industrial wheat cultivation. Recommendations for reducing greenhouse gases are given.
