The Application and Prospect of the AC/DC Subsystem of Renewable Energy Power Plants In Internet Data Centers

As an important driving force for China's "new infrastructure", internet data centers are facing a thriving development opportunity, becoming a renewable energy consumption field. Higher requirements are posed on the power supply level and capability of the AC/DC subsystems in renewable energy power plants for meeting the needs of internet data centers. The innovative application of flexible power transmission and distribution technology and key equipment makes the power transmission system more intelligent, flexible, and reliable, enabling it to better cope with the challenges brought by high-load capacity loads, such as internet data centers with a large proportion of direct current loads. This helps in achieving lower carbon emissions, higher efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness in the construction and operation of internet data centers. This article first discusses the basic requirements of internet data center loads, analyzes the hierarchical and performance requirements of internet data centers as a whole, and studies the application of flexible technology in renewable energy power plants. It provides tailored solutions for the reliability, stability, power quality, energy efficiency, and integration of renewable energy sources in the operation of the power grid, and looks ahead to the practical application and promotion of such technologies in internet data centers.
