An AUTOSAR-Based Framework for Multi-Core Communication System

As automotive electronic and electrical architectures evolve from distributed systems toward domain integration and service-oriented centralized designs, the functional demands of vehicle systems are becoming increasingly complex. The traditional approach of running communication protocol stacks on a single core can lead to system instability. In this context, this paper proposes an AUTOSAR-based framework for a multi-core communication system. This framework leverages the PduR (PDU Router) module within the AUTOSAR architecture to design and implement a multi-core deployment of the communication protocol stack, which was tested and validated on the Infineon TC297 hardware platform. The test results demonstrate that the multi-core system effectively reduces MCU core load, confirming the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed multi-core communication system framework.
