Full-Wave Time Domain PEEC Formulation Using a Modified Nodal Analysis Approach

This paper deals with the derivation of the neutral delay differential equations arising from full-wave partial element equivalent circuit models. Focus is on a modified nodal analysis formulation suitable for mixed circuit- and electromagnetic-analysis in both frequency- and time-domain. The formulation requires the separation of self- and mutual-partial elements to account for the individual retardation times. The formulation results in a sparse system with an improved solution time, compared to quasi-static and frequency domain PEEC modeling. The resultant equations have been implemented and their solution tested.
