Features of Grid-Based Maps Creation of Physical and Mechanical Properties Changes

This study focuses on identifying optimal locations for drilling pre-mining methane drainage wells for obtaining the joint purpose of enhancing underground mining safety and optimizing coalbed methane extraction. Based on the advanced mathematical modeling techniques, a comprehensive analysis of geomechanical data was conducted. Laboratory results of core samples from test wells drilled in the southern part of the Tutuyasskaya area of the Kuznetsk Basin in Russia were utilized. A detailed analysis of core sample data was conducted, followed by the generation of grids and the creation of predictive grid-based maps for geospatial analysis of the physical and mechanical properties changes of the three studied lithotypes. The modeling stage was carried out applying the Surfer Golden Software, employing interpolation methods, with the Kriging algorithm selected due to its effectiveness in modeling anisotropic spatial structures. Through the creation of predictive distribution maps, the study successfully identifies the most promising and prioritized zones for drilling to extract larger volumes of coalbed methane, particularly under conditions of limited initial data.
