Signal Processing Units for BPMs of VEPP-2000 and VEPP-4M Colliders

The VEPP-4M and VEPP-2000 charged particle accelerators are designed for conducting experiments with electron-positron beams, synchrotron radiation beams and collecting statistical data for the fundamental field of physics. The correct operation of accelerators largely depends on the correct trajectory of the charged particles - the orbit of the beams. To do this, a coordinate measurement system for charged clusters and diagnostic units for processing signals from these monitors are used. The new diagnostic units will significantly expand the measurement capabilities. First, the beam current range will increase. Secondly, it will be possible to determine the necessary separatrix in one turn. Thirdly, it will be possible to calculate the coordinates of the electron and positron beams simultaneously. Fourth, the versatility of the installation will allow using the developed configuration both on the VEPP-4M accelerator and on VEPP-2000. The configuration of a universal diagnostic unit for two accelerators is described, the limits of measurement accuracy, waveforms and results obtained during experiments on accelerators are given.
