Development of a Device for Measuring Electric Current Based on Optically Detectable Magnetic Resonance of NV-Centers in Diamonds

The article considers the possibility of creating a new current sensor operating on a quantum principle. The operation of such a sensor will be based on the effect of optically detectable magnetic resonance, and the main sensitive element is a diamond plate doped with nitrogen vacancy centers. Prototypes of such sensors are already being made at leading universities in the world, such as the University of Tokyo, but work is being carried out exclusively on laboratory equipment. In this paper, an experiment to determine the sensitivity of a diamond plate to changes in current in a conductor was also carried out on laboratory equipment. The article confirms the relationship between the luminescence spectra of the diamond plate and changes in the current values in the conductor. Next, the paper proposes a scheme of a reduced and simplified device for determining optically detectable magnetic resonance. The scheme is presented in a simplified form, its operability is proved by the results of experiments on magnetic resonance detection.
