Calculation of the Electric Field of an Induction-Resistive Heating System With Graded Electrical Insulation

The article discusses the key characteristics that determine the reliability of using an induction-resistive heating system. The main characteristic is the electrical reliability of the cable used as a conductor of this system. In this system, the cable is subjected to significant electrical and thermal loads, which requires the use of materials with high electrical strength and resistance to thermal effects, and therefore it is advisable to use cables with gradient insulation, which in turn reduces energy losses and increases the efficiency of the heating process. A mathematical model has been developed and a conductor of an induction-resistive heating system using gradient electrical insulation has been calculated. The main equations describing the distribution of the electric field in the system under study are given, and numerical modeling methods for determining the optimal parameters are described. The corresponding graphs of the distribution of the electric field strength inside the skin heating system have been obtained.
