An Economic Optimization Approach for Load Regulation in Low-Carbon Port Microgrids

A load regulation and economic optimisation method for low-carbon port microgrid is presented in the paper. Firstly, energy and logistics flow model of port transferable loads, such as EV (electric vehicle), RC (reefer containers) and SP (shore power), is developed. Then considering power balance and operational constraints, an optimization model of minimising the power purchase cost and carbon quota trading cost of a port microgrid is presented. A Cplex solver is used to solve the optimization problem. The validity of the proposed method is verified by an example, and the results can be used to guide economic operation and dispatch for port micro grid.
