Simulation and Suppression Research on Conducted Interference in Motor Drive Systems

Electric vehicles widely adopt IGBT power devices in their motor drive systems, which consist of inverters, cables, and PMSM. Due to the fast switching of IGBT devices di/dt and dv/dt, the system generates significant EMI through interconnecting cables. This paper investigates conducted interference in PMSM drive systems using co-simulation across multiple physical domains and proposes the suppression of conducted interference by designing filters and employing stochastic pulse width modulation algorithms. The proposed methods provide significant guidance for electromagnetic compatibility simulations in electric vehicles.
