Approaches to Modeling Public Transport in Matsim Software

The article provides an overview of the existing free software for solving the problems of transport planning and traffic management. Methods for taking into account the movement of public transport rolling stock in the development of mesoscopic transport models based on multi-agent models are proposed. The options for accounting for the movement of public vehicles in a mixed traffic flow are considered. The results of the movement of a mixed traffic flow on cartograms of traffic intensity obtained using transport models created in the Matsim software are presented. The indicators of the quality of the functioning of the transport system of the city of Cheboksary in the implementation of measures in the field of traffic management are presented.
