Development of an Autonomous Solar Charger for an Electrically Powered Mobile Vehicle

The electrification of agricultural machinery opens up new opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce dependence on fossil fuels. Electric agricultural machinery, such as electrically driven combines, can perform a wide range of tasks with minimal emissions, making them attractive from an environmental point of view. However, to ensure long operating times and autonomy, these machines require a significant energy reserve that needs to be replenished. This is where the need arises for on-board power sources that will be mounted on the body of the electric vehicle and will extend the life of the traction batteries in the field. Renewable energy sources, such as solar panels, are becoming a promising solution to this problem.
