Studying Power IoT Edge Computing Server Layout Methods Based on SPEA2

With the rapid development of the Internet of Things (IoT) in electric power, edge computing as a distributed computing model plays an important role in optimizing the performance of electric power systems. This study aims to solve the optimization problem of edge computing server layout in power IoT to improve the computational performance, communication efficiency and energy utilization of the system. In this study, the existing problems and challenges of edge computing layout in power IoT are first analyzed, and the importance of optimizing the layout is clarified. In order to establish a reasonable optimization model, the communication relationship between servers, the distribution of power equipment and the characteristics of computing tasks are considered, and the edge computing server layout model applicable to power IoT is constructed. Through simulation experiments in real scenarios, we verify the effectiveness of the optimization model in edge computing server layout. The experimental results show that the proposed method is able to find a series of non-inferior solutions under the consideration of multiple optimization objectives, which provides decision makers with diverse layout options.
