A Suggested Model for Using Multi Factor Authentication Framework in Cloud Computing for SME

Cloud computing provides a number of Internet-based services that can considerably assist Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). These services are provided by data centers, which hold all of the required software and hardware resources while rendering them accessible across networks. However, SMEs typically face impediments to the mainstream utilization of cloud-based technological advancements. One significant hurdle is the integrity of approaches to authentication used in cloud-based settings, which are primarily designed for larger enterprises & may be exceedingly costly for small businesses. Single sign-on (SSO) mechanisms, which are commonly employed in these scenarios, are susceptible to a wide range of cyber threats. This study intends to address the research goals concerning understanding the concerns for development of multi factor authentication MFA, which is suitable for the medium and small enterprises in the context of cloud computing. The present research makes an attempt to state the main constituents necessary for the such organizational structure through analysis of information exchange with the subject matter practitioners. The finding is expected to enable the SMEs to exploit the cloud computing technology in a more efficient and cost effective manner. Moreover, as consumer appetite for cloud services grows, there rises the demand for increasing effectiveness, trustworthiness and serviceability of cloud-based offerings for small and medium enterprises hence the necessity of the cloud based offering.
