"The Environmental Compatibility of HF Cablevision Networks"

The cablevision environment is examined, both in an electromagnetic and in a mechanical or physical sense, in so far as it affects the operation and performance of cable networks, which must he able to co-exist with other Services within the hf spectrum. Unwanted energy transfer and its measurement are discussed, with reference to hf coaxial trunk cables and balanced multipair distribution cables. Consideration is also given to energy transfer between different vision circuits of the cable network; to the control of the level of radiation; and to the operation of hf cable networks in unfavourable local environments.
