Learning Strategies: Experimental Modeling of Laplacian Electric Fields and their Correlation to Kirchhoff's Laws in Physics

Electric field is an abstract notion not fully understood yet by youths, as unnecessary exposure to dangerous situations proves it (train selfies). The paper aims at illustrating mathematical concepts through experiments, designing a resistive grid network. We notice the interconnectivity to Physics, deriving the same equations using Kirchhoff's law and the node potential theorem. A kind of Do-It-Yourself experimental stand has been designed to measure the potential in all nodes of the mesh grid, enabling the design of a mathematical model to describe the phenomena. Experimental stands made at home can be a basis to educational developments, linking ideas that can be shared via the internet, enhancing further the concept of blended learning.
