Research on Sound Source Localization Technology for Intelligent Devices

With the development of modern technology, people are paying more and more attention to intelligent devices. And sound source localization is an important component of many intelligent devices, which enable the devices to locate the source of sound quickly and accurately. Its application fields are very wide. But common sound source localization techniques generally use fixed microphone arrays or complex algorithms to identify the source of sound. It is not convenient for mobile devices, and it is not conducive to the demand for device integration. This article attempts to design and simulate a sound source localization method for intelligent devices. This method is based on bionics and is controlled by a microcontroller. This method utilizes two microphones to receive sound, mimics the human “binaural effect”, and the sound source position is calculated and determined by the STM32 micro controller. This method has a simple structure, is easy to implement, and the test results are relatively ideal.
