Medical Document Classification using NLP Techniques

The field of medicine is a vital functional block in our lives. It is also now a growing domain in machine learning and text-based classification. This opens up a world of possibilities for enhancing patient care, clinical decision-making, and medical research. However, the large number and diversity of medical records, present significant hurdles in efficiently organizing and extracting valuable insights from these extensive records. Manual sorting and retrieval of medical text can be exhausting, time-consuming, and error-prone, highlighting the need for automated solutions to improve the general quality of life for performing these operations [19]. Natural Language Processing (NLP) methods have potential to be good tools for analyzing and classifying text records across various fields.
